Stitch

Not plural. Just one stitch. A baby ring finger plus a cheese grater equal a mom pulling that finger out and heading to the ER! Good time!
Vi was a trooper taking the stitch with no numbing like a champ. Today she has no clue that her finger is held together by a string! She's moved on apparently! Ha!
Love this tough girl. I asked her to make it to at least a year old before needing stitches and she did just that. 54 weeks to be technical.

Potential Husband Update

In Redding Vi got to spend some quality time with two suitors. We like both options, and love their parents!
Bode is 15 months an he and Vi had a blast playing together!
Beckham is 4 months and so sweet. Not sure he loved the aggressive attention Vi displayed toward him :)

Redding, CA

Vi and I headed north to visit friends who live in Redding. Such a fun last minute mini road trip!
We saw lakes, rivers, bridges, fish, and animals. We played at parks, ate local pizza and coffee and tried a slip and slide for the first time!
All was well until the ride home. Then Vi wasn't so happy. We made the best of it and stopped at McDonald's, a Chevron and several rest stops. I was nervous at those we'd get kidnapped but they ended up being really fun and we met some great travelers!

Road Trip

Last minute trip to Redding to visit friends, and by last minute I mean made the plans at noon and were in the car by 1pm! Watch out, we're crazy!!

It's official. I'm a mom.

I thought so many other firsts really made me a mom... Changing a poopy diaper in the trunk in the Target parking lot, not showering for days on end, putting those terrible but useful pull down shades in my car windows, yadda, .... But this is it. This one trumps them all. Sesame Street Live.

A few thoughts for Sesame Street...
1. Shorten this thing. Intermission is not necessary.
2. Kids don't need a serious plot. Just flash some lights and sing a few songs. No one cares that Teacher Jenny's music instruments haven't arrived yet.
3. Serve alcohol! :)
