Happy Birthday Silvio!

Today, the boy cat turns 5! I can't believe he is so old! Silvio is special is many ways, he's also naughty in many ways too! He was our first pet, arriving just before we got married which means he will always hold a special place in our hearts. In honor of his big day, we'll be taking a break from baby stats and catch up on some Silvio stats!

This pretty much sums up his personality. Rockstar.

Silvio's mission is life to to lay on top of or in anything and everything he he fits in. And, sometimes things he doesn't fit it! Leave out an empty box and no matter the size he'll squeeze right in! Ask Dan about leaving his lunch pail unzipped ;)

Believe it or not, he can be sweet. It's just usually when he's sleeping!

SILVIO STATS

• Call him what you want: Monkey, Monk Monk, Mister, Silly Monk, Spawn of the Devil ;)
• Weight: Too much! He probably weighs about 20 pounds!
• Daily habits: Sleeping, eating, sleeping and eating.
• Night time habits: Scratching the shutters until they open, chasing his sister cat up and down the hall until she cries, climbing the shutters once they are open, (he's got talent! Gotta give him that!) and running all over like a wild banshee...he pretty much goes berserk at night.
• Favorite spot: As high as possible! On top of the kitchen cabinets or up in the ceiling cutouts. And of course, boxes!
  
• Other fun facts: He loves catnip and we love the results it produces. He is very clean. I know cats are particular, but this one is down right obsessed with making sure he is well groomed. And, he wishes his mom would let him outside. ;)
  

Cabbage Patch Kids, Growing in the Garden...

...Cabbage Patch Kids, Growing in the Sun! And the most amazing thing about a Cabbage Patch Kid, is that each one grows to be a special one!

Of course I remember every word to that song! You don't?! ;)

Today Little Girl got her coolest gift to date.... A mint condition, 1985, Cabbage Patch Doll!! This was a Macdonald girl favorite, we each had our own dolls, mine was Danica! Who of course I still have! And who of course I immediately found to compare! Auntie Lou and Auntie O decided Little Girl needed a REAL CPK and not a fake one available today. Nothing compares to the original....So, without further ado, meet... Tay Alice! (I know, not the coolest name, but it's what Xavier named her!)

Obviously she's no longer mint condition since I ripped her right out of the box!

The Legend of the Cabbage Patch Kids....reading this now as an adult...little creepy. I'm thinking Xavier was a little too kid friendly if you know what I mean! ;)

Jersey wasn't so thrilled when Tay Alice arrived. So I decided to let her meet Danica and hopefully get used to having a little person around. I think it went well!
Note to self: Don't let Jersey bite my baby's legs.

I Am Twenty Three

23 Weeks have come and gone! Hahahaha! Now that's a funny sentence! ;) It sure doesn't feel like that sometimes. Most days I look in the mirror and still cant believe I'm pregnant. I think this whole child's life there will be some disbelief attached to her.


BABY STATS

• The picture above is a 3D snapshot from my iPad. It's a really cool app that shows you the babe as it grows! The life-size is pretty cool, since it starts as a dot and now barely fits on the screen!
• The weight debate.... She's officially a pound!
• Length: Almost a ruler coming in at 11 inches.
• She can hear! Or so we hope. If not, I'm pretty good at sign language.
• Some things she may be hearing around our house- barking, Paula Deen, Cops, the vacuum and maybe a little yelling. We're working on our inside voices.
• She's still a mover. She's definitely slowed down and is now a little more thoughtful about how and when she moves. Lucky for me, she still has not moved at night and woken me up.
  

MAMA STATS

• So I haven't taken a shower today. Don't judge, I'm cleaning! There's the belly for ya!
• In the words of the great Juno, "I am a cautionary whale" All my nice friends and family think I'm small. I think they are on crack.
• Speaking of crack, Girl Scout cookies are my best friend. I've had to limit myself to just a few a day.
• I've gotten really impatient. Bad drivers, stupid people, a slow waitress, annoying students...I could easily kill someone in those moments and not feel an ounce of shame.
• I have no idea what I weigh and I'm not interested in knowing! I have a doctor appointment in a few weeks and I'm sure it will reveal my first big weight gain, which I am in no way looking forward to!
  

DADDY STATS

• Dan has been working a lot. A friend of his from work passed away and he is part of the funeral. He feels very honored to have been chosen for the 21 gun salute. While it's not going to be a fun time, he's happy to honor a friend with tradition.
• On a happier note, we're going on vacation soon! Dan booked a trip to Pebble Beach for a few days in hopes we both relax a bit before she's here. Dan will be golfing and I will be at the spa. We'll both be eating lots!
• Dan got to feel hiccups for the first time last night! I was glad to share the uncomfortable stomach jumping with someone else!
  

Room For One

Hey Everyone! Little Girl here. My mom has been slacking a little on her blogging so I thought I'd take a turn at posting! My new room is coming along quite nicely. So far I love everything my mom and dad have picked out for me! ;)

This is my crib! I love it and cannot wait to sleep in it. In fact, I'm going to love sleeping in it so much, that I'm going to sleep in it every single night! ;)

This is my bumper. Super cute! Thanks mom for letting me have a little pink in my room!

And, this is the crib skirt! My sheet is pink satin which is going to be nice to lay on when it's hot outside. I can't wait to see my new room all done!
