The Latest Injury

Just because my last name is no longer Macdonald, doesn't mean I am going to stop the traditions of constantly having an injury, needing to visit the ER or having to have surgery. We Macdonalds pride ourselves with knowing the best doctors for all type of ailments due to our extensive 'research'. This does not exclude veterinarians. And since we have so many animals sometimes I like to pretend I am one. (It saves money too!) So here is the most recent injury in the Grauman household, courtesy of Jersey.

Jersey and I were enjoying an afternoon outside playing and picking the lemon tree. She was running around acting crazy when I heard a thud and saw her fall to the ground. I noticed she had hit a water faucet so hard she had lost a chunk of hair and turned the faucet on! Assuming it was her leg because she was not walking I used my vet skills and checked her out moving and pressing on every limb. With no visible pain, she eventually got up and seemed fine. Later then night I was petting her and felt something on her chest. When I went to check it out, this is what I saw....

Doesn't look so bad right? This is where my real veterinary skills come it. I shaved and clean the 'wound' revealing this....

It had healed quite nicely, it's not so bloody and bruised anymore. Plus I saved Dan on a vet bill by pretending I was one! So much fun! I'm sure Jersey thought so too! All in all, a great injury making Jersey officially one of us!

Our Family Picture (Attempt!)

In attempt to create a memorable Christmas card we decided a family picture would be a great idea. A really angry cat, some scratches, and a little bleeding and we've got it! Our good friend Bre was nice enough to put her life in danger to take these lovely pictures! As you can see, Silvio (orange cat) had a real BLAST.

This picture is great because most of you probably think it was taken at the beginning of the shoot. But if you look at my knee you will notice a stain that wasn't in the other pictures. That's because once we let the cats go back into hiding I wiped my bloody hand on my pants not realizing how much it was actually bleeding, then tried to wash it out. Gotta love those cats!

If you have not received a Christmas card, it's probably because I do not have your address! Comment it to me and I will send you one!

Seeing as Bre is quite skilled in dealing with all types of families, if you would like to contact her for your family picture you can get her info off of her website. www.bwblackandwhites.com

The kitchen update

Our kitchen was in need of a little updating. So I took it upon myself, against Dan's wishes, and updated it! Thanks to my mom, sister Olivia, and brother Eli, we emptied, sanded, cleaned, and painted! And we only had to take one trip to the emergency room!! (If you know the Macdonald's, you know how much we enjoy the ER!...Oh, and in case you were wondering Eli dislocated his knee cap while sanding cabinets...fun stuff!) Now that it's done I know Dan really likes it, as do I. COMING SOON....the bathroom update
