It appears we have a problem that needs addressing. I think we may need a jungle gym in the back yard.

Today we were in SF to watch Eli participate in the Alcatraz swim. So cool! A little nerve racking since a boat just dumps the swimmers in the middle of the water and they have to make it to shore! But he did it, and well!

Must finish in 75 minutes
And of course effing cold water!!

2nd in his age group
40th out of 450 males
50th out of 1000 swimmers!
Pretty freaking awesome!

And I'm pretty sure Vi wants to do it.

Thankfully no blood and no stitches needed. Finally an injury we like! :)

The eagle has landed

Or dog I should say!... He's home! And so far really well. Surgery hasn't crept in and ruined his spirit. Not yet at least. We've got a long 4 weeks again with a constant battle between regaining normalcy and being cautious. Most dogs in this situation and at this age are easy to slip into a failure to thrive after surgery. Thankfully the vet thinks Jake has a full recovery ahead and so do we! For now he'll just have to deal with going to the bathroom on a leash!

Tahoe- Sunday

I sucked it up and brought Vi to the tournament Sunday. It's been okay so far despite having to stop for a sprinkle. I guess we're suppose to care if celebrities get wet.
Vi thinks she's hysterical yelling "Dada" as loud as she can when I ask her to be quiet! So needless to say we've done a lot of walking to stay ahead of the players!

Ice cream and a cup.

Yes. A cup. I have an obsession and get vi one everywhere we go. She loves them! And as you can see from her face she loves ice cream too!

Tahoe- Saturday PM

Violets first boat ride! She loved the boat, hated the life jacket. No surprise there. Anything that's restricts movement is out.

Tahoe- Saturday AM

So far it's been a relaxing day. Vi and I took a nice drive to Tahoe City and are just tooling around! We had a picnic lunch over looking the lake and now a little shopping!

Tahoe-Friday

Fun day! We're in Meeks Bay visiting friends. We kayaked to a little beach and hung out for a bit. Vi thought every minute was fantastic!
